Rachel Mackessy-Lloyd
PMHNP-BC, ANP-BC, MSN, RN
I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar illness, and addiction. I will work with your mental healthcare team to collaborate and develop a plan that enables you to achieve your goals.
My approach is grounded in the interpersonal theory of nursing. I am especially interested in mood disorder, anxiety, and addiction psychiatry.
I am nationally board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed to practice independently as a PMHNP in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania. This licensure includes prescriptive authority. I completed a Masters’s in Nursing at George Mason University in 2012 and my PMHNP certificate from George Washington University in 2020.
Lynn Mackessy-Lloyd
DNP, MA, MS, RN
I hold a Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a registered nurse with experience in counseling after receiving a Master’s Degree in Health Promotion and Counseling from Trinity College. I have worked in a variety of practice settings, and am excited to join the team at Mackessy Mental Health.
I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. My most recent experience has been in nursing education, both in the classroom, the lab, and in the clinical setting.
